National Honor Society

Students need to have a 3.5 grade point average to be eligible for selection into National Honor Society.  Each candidate is evaluated by five anonymous faculty members, with 20 being a perfect score.  The five evaluations will be added up and a score out of 100 points will be given to the candidate.  Students must receive at least a 93 out of 100 points to be elibible for selection in the National Honor Society (it does not guarantee selection).  Five voting faculty members will be selected annually to sit on the faculty council.  Members may be appointed to consecutive years.  The principal and the advisor are non-voting members of the council.
