THURSDAY, MAY 17, 2012
Prayer: God our Father, we know you are with us always, and yet when we cannot feel your presence we become restless. Help us to grow in patience and trust. We ask this through Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. AMEN.
1. School will be dismissed at 12:00 noon today. The schedule for the day will be as follows:

2. The high school track banquet will be held on Monday, May 21st at 6:30 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. Cake and drinks will be provided.
3. All high school cross-country runners need to stop in Mr. Zoucha’s room to pick up camp information.
4. All basketball camp money needs to be turned in to Mr. Anderson by noon today!
5. Any girls track members that have not turned their uniform in yet need to get it to Mr. Lafleur before leaving today!
6. All high school boys track members need to turn their uniforms in today!
7. Each student was given two Knights cards to sell. All money for the cards and/or any unsold cards must be turned in to your 1st period teacher by noon today! Students are responsible for the cards they were given.
8. Any student who checked out a lock from the office needs to return it before leaving today! You will need to pay the replacement fee of $4.00 if the lock is not turned back in.
9. Reminder to girls going out for volleyball next year, grades 9-12, that there will be a team meeting on Monday, May 21st at 1:00 p.m. in the activities center.
10. Cheerleaders for the 2012-13 school year will have a uniform fitting and parent meeting on Monday, May 21st at 7:00 p.m. in the high school teacher’s lounge.
11. There will be a weight room guidelines and informational meeting for all interested future 8th grade girls, today at 12:00 noon. The meeting will last approximately 20 minutes.
12. Summer weight room hours are as follows:
9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon Monday through Friday
6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday
6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Friday
The first day the weight room will be open is Monday, May 21st.
13. Fifteen students are needed - first come, first served – to help with Vacation Bible School. This is for pre-school and kindergarten students. It will be held May 29th – June 1st from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon. Pick up a form in the office if you would like to help.
14. Totus Tuus will take place June 23rd – 29th. Registration forms are available in the office.
15. Yearbook work days will start next Monday morning at 8:30. Talk with Mrs. Wieser if this will not work for you.
16. H.O.P.E. will not be sold at Norfolk Catholic Grade School or High School over the summer months, but will continue to be sold at the Parish Office and at all weekend Masses. Please remember that H.O.P.E. is also sold at Franc’s Beauty Salon and Spa, as well as both First National Bank locations.

Registration will be at 8:30 that morning with lunch provided. The camp is for Jr. High and Sr. High throwers and coaches. Cost is $47.00 per participant. You may pick up a form in the office if interested.

20. There will be an Alabare Choir meeting/practice for all 7-college age students who are willing to give back to their faith community with their talents in music on Wednesday, May 23rd in the high school vocal music room. Hope to see you there!

1. Semester Tests will be given today and tomorrow. Please note that the first test begins at 7:45 a.m. NO OPEN CAMPUS will be allowed for grades 7-11. All students will stay in their room for the entire testing time. Students may wear jeans. Sweats are not allowed!! There will be no hot lunch served either day. 12. The Sacred Heart 4th grade Destination Imagination Team made it to Globals in Knoxville, TN. To raise money for the trip, there will be a Spaghetti Feed tonight from 5:00 – 7:30 p.m. at the parish center. Dine in, Carry out or Drive up. They will also be having a bake sale and will be raffling off 2 IPAD 3’s. It will be a free will donation. Please help support the team and let them make supper!!
