Prayer:  God of all nations, you give us prophets and teachers, who travel all over the world, inspired by your Holy Spirit, teaching about your Son.  Guide and protect them, we pray, through Jesus Christ, our Lord.  AMEN.

1.  There will be NO SCHOOL on Thursday, Friday & Monday for Easter break.  Classes will resume next Tuesday.

2.  Congratulations to the Jr. High track team on their performances at the Norfolk Public City Meet yesterday.  A list of 1st & 2nd place finishes is posted on the bulletin board outside the office.

3.  Boys golf at the Ewing Invite today beginning at 9:00 a.m.

4.  High school track at the O’Neill Invite on Thursday starting at 10:00 a.m.

5.  Baseball at home on Thursday vs. Columbus at 5:00 p.m.

6.  Boys soccer at Grand Island C.C. on Saturday beginning at 12:00 p.m.
 
7.  The following is a list of senior scholarships available in the guidance office along with the deadline date:

8.  The yearbook staff are still needing a senior picture from the following seniors:  Cris Calvillo, Jocie Dominguez, Morgan Hauser, Brittany Kelberlau, Andy Mendez, Ryan Olmer.
These seniors need to turn in a baby picture right away:  Cris Calvillo, Jocie Dominguez, Kegan Ehlers, Jennifer Keenan, Andy Mendez, Ryan Olmer, Kaylee Philbrick.

9.  Sign-up in the office if you would like to order a football highlight tape.  Cost is $10.00.

10. These students owe an additional $5.00 for their Futures shirt:  Connie Fanta, Theresa Marsh, Morgan Molacek, Aaron Hoff.  Bethannie Benda owes $15.00.  All shirts need to be paid for & picked up by 3:00 p.m. today!

11. The next yearbook work night will be Tuesday, April 22nd at 6:30 p.m. in the computer lab.  

12. Anyone interested in becoming an EMHC or Lector can sign-up in the office and pick up a registration form.  Registration forms should be turned back in to the office by May 7th.

13. Any 8th grade girl interested in basketball for next year should sign-up with Mr. Kassmeier by next Tuesday.

14. The following students have had overdue library books since February:  David Calvillo, Cami Jones, Morgan Molacek, Drew Pospisil, Christian Prim, Emily Teten.  The books need to be returned before Easter Break!!

15. The University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Nursing will host a campus Showcase on Sunday, April 27th at 2:00 p.m.  The Showcase is geared toward high school students and their parents and will provide information focused on their bachelor’s programs, financial aid, scholarships, hands-on activities in their state of the art simulation lab, and a tour of the college.
            
16. Any girls, grades 8-11, interested in playing softball next fall (coop with Norfolk High) are asked to please sign-up on the counter in the office.  Please sign-up by noon today so the coach can get some information to you.

17. Fifteen students are needed on a first come, first serve basis to help with Vacation Bible School.  Dates are May 27th – 30th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.  Helpers are 9th grade through adult.  Pick up a form in the office if interested.

18. Help Wanted:  Someone is looking for a babysitter for the summer for two kids.  You would be needed on Monday, Tuesday & Thursday from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.  They are looking for someone who can drive.  Contact Jamie at 402-640-7061if interested.

19. Any students interested in detasseling this summer should sign-up with Ms. Freese.  Limited spots available!

20. Mrs. Booth is in need of some strong boys to help move some furniture on Friday morning at 10:30 a.m.  See Mr. Kassmeier today if you can help out!

1.  Jr. High Track at Norfolk Senior High today.  The field events will begin at 3:00 p.m. with running events starting at 4:00 p.m.  Track members will be dismissed at 1:10 p.m.

2.  Girls soccer at Lexington today beginning at 4:30 p.m.  Players will be dismissed after 3rd period.

3.  J.V. & varsity baseball at Lincoln Southeast today starting at 5:00 p.m.  Players will be dismissed at 1:00 p.m.

4.  Boys soccer at home today vs. Columbus Lakeview beginning at 6:00 p.m.  The games will be played at Lutheran High Northeast.

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, why do we so easily forget that nothing is impossible with you?  Please forgive us our limitations and continue to be patient with us.  We ask this through your Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ the Lord.  AMEN.

1.  Congratulations to the girls & boys high school track teams on both taking 1st place at the Plainview Invite last Friday.  1st place finishes for the boys included:  Jacob Beller - 100 & 200;  Beau Schommer - Shot Put & Discus;  Matt Miller – 400 & 800;  David Engelhaupt – 110 High Hurdles;  Seth Ruppert – Long Jump;  4 x 400 Relay of Ryan Olmer, Seth Montag, Paul Uhlir and Matt Miller.  1st place finishes for the girls were:  Nicole Ramaekers – Shot Put;  Bailey Ehlers – High Jump, 200;  Bailey Barnes – 100 Hurdles, 300 Hurdles;  Hailey Lammers – 800;  Morgan Hauser – 3200; 4 x 100 Relay of Bailey Barnes, Alex Anderson, Joelle Heng and Bailey Ehlers.  A complete list of results is posted on the bulletin board outside the office.
       
2.  Congratulations to the girls & boys soccer teams on their wins over Kearney Catholic on Saturday.

3.  Great Job to the Futures teams in Kearney this past weekend!  You all did a fantastic job.  Mrs. Van Fleet will have the results available by the end of the day.

4.  Congratulations to the Jr. High Band & Jazz Band on both receiving superior ratings at contest on Saturday.  Also, congratulations to Diana Elizalde, Andrew Fleecs & Callista Smydra on receiving superiors on their solos.

5.  Congratulations to the NC Players on their excellent performances over the weekend!

6.  The High School Pre-Contest Band & Choir Contest will take place tonight at 7:00 in the activities center.
