Dear Parents,

What an exciting year this will be for you and your family! The information below is for those students who will be receiving Reconciliation and First Holy Communion, or Confirmation this spring. Formation for these sacraments has begun in either Religious Education classes on Wednesday evenings or at Norfolk Catholic Schools. The parish, school, & religious education involvement will help supplement the teaching and living of faith that you have been doing since your child's birth. 

Generally, 2nd graders will receive First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion and those in 8th grade will receive Confirmation. If you do not feel your child is ready to receive either sacrament, you are free to wait until you feel they are ready. Please contact the parish office if your child is not ready or did not receive First Holy Communion in 2nd grade or Confirmation in 8th grade.

Dates for First Reconciliation & First Communion

  • First Communion Parent Meeting – Wednesday, September 18th at 6:30 pm
  • First Reconciliation – Sunday, March 30th at 2:00 pm for NC and 3:30 pm for RE
  • First Communion Practice and Pictures: Friday, May 2nd at 6:30 pm
  • First Communion : Sunday, May 4th at 2 pm

If you are an adult who would like to be prepared to receive your First Reconciliation and First Eucharist this is normally done through the RCIA process.
