Daily HS Announcements - Tuesday, January 8, 2019

Prayer:  Merciful, loving Father, your commandments seem so simple, and yet they aren’t easy at all!  We need all the strength that you will give us to live in the way you love. Lead us along your path.  We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. AMEN.

1.  Congratulations to the 7th & 8th grade boys basketball teams on both defeating Battle Creek last night.

2.  Congratulations to the boys reserve basketball team on their win over Columbus Scotus last night.

3.  High school basketball at Columbus Scotus today.  The J.V. boys & girls teams will both play at 4:30 p.m.  The varsity girls will play at 6:15 p.m. followed by the varsity boys at approximately 8:00 p.m.  The high school girls team and the boys J.V. team will be dismissed at 2:15 p.m.

4.  Swimming dual at home today vs. Columbus at 5:00 p.m.  Diving will begin at 4:15 p.m. Swimmers will be dismissed at 2:45 p.m.

5.  The following students will be taking part in Mass tomorrow at 9:35 a.m.:
-Lector  - Mason Maas
-EMHC’s  - Hayden Wolf, Ethan Morland, Elliott Eisenmenger, Joey Otero, Emma Neuhalfen
-Servers  - Chase Thramer, Christian Cattau, Zayne Ruden

6.  The Health Careers Club will meet on Wednesday, January 16th from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. at Faith Regional EAST Campus (1500 Koenigstein Avenue).  The topic this month is physical therapy and related careers. For more information, see the flyers outside Mr. Sok’s and Mrs. Headley’s rooms.

7.  There will be a short meeting for all students and chaperones attending this year’s March for Life trip, this Wednesday, January 9th right after school in the cafeteria.

8.  The Columbus Scotus Post Prom parents will be having a Grab & Go Burrito and drink available for $5.00 during the basketball games tonight.  Their table will be set up just outside they gym entrance.
