Daily HS Announcements - Friday, January 11, 2019

Prayer:  God, our Father almighty, we know that with you, all things are possible.  Let us try to live every day of our lives so that you may be as well pleased with us as you are with your Son.  Grant this through Jesus Christ our Lord. AMEN.

1.  Congratulations to the 7th grade boys basketball team on their win over Guardian Angels C.C. last night.  The 8th grade boys team lost to GACC.

2.  The varsity wrestling team lost to Creighton last night 42-25.  Match winners were Wyatt Smydra, Francisco Mendez & Joey Otero.

3.  Swimming at the Millard North Invite today and tomorrow.  Boys swimmers will be dismissed at 12:00 noon today.

4.  J.V. & varsity girls basketball at home tonight vs. Wayne starting at 6:00 p.m.  Parents night will take place tonight between the J.V. & varsity games.

5.  Wrestling at Cross County on Saturday to 10:00 a.m.

6.  Reserve boys basketball at Hartington C.C. on Saturday at 9:00 a.m.

7.  J.V. & varsity boys basketball at home on Saturday vs. Crofton beginning at 5:00 p.m.

8.  Today is the deadline for the February ACT.

9.  The Health Careers Club will meet on Wednesday, January 16th from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. at Faith Regional EAST Campus (1500 Koenigstein Avenue).  Park in the back of the hospital and enter through the covered entrance near the circular drive. Meet in the lobby. 10. Senior pictures are due to the yearbook staff by Monday, January 14th.  Please give to a yearbook member, Mrs. Hampl, or have your photographer email it to Mrs. Hampl at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

11. An all-school picture will be taken next Monday, January 14th at 3:00 p.m. in the activities center.  We would like to have all Juniors and Seniors wear white polo shirts and all other grades wear red polos. Staff can wear either as we want to include everyone in the picture.  The plan is to have a red heart with a white cross in the middle.

12. The Jr. High boys basketball games with Columbus Scotus next Tuesday, January 15th will be played at Columbus and not at home as previously planned.  The start time has been moved up to 4:30 p.m.

13. High school students going out for track, that are not involved in a winter sport, should meet in Mr. Kassmeier’s room right after school on Tuesday, January 15th.

14. There will be NO shooting baskets in the gym in the mornings before school.

15. Cody’s Mexican Grill, a new restaurant in town just north of Jimmy Johns, is looking for part-time help either after school or weekends or both.  If interested, contact manager Ben Torres at 612-554-2757 to schedule an interview.
