Daily HS Announcements - Monday, April 15, 2019

1.  Congratulations to the band and choir students on their excellent performances at the District Music Contest last Friday!  Results showing the many superior ratings and perfect scores are posted on the bulletin board outside the office.

2.  Boys golf at Plainview today starting at 4:00 p.m.  Golfers will be dismissed at 2:35 p.m.

3.  Baseball at Guardian Angels C.C. today.  The varsity will play at 5:00 p.m. followed by the J.V. at 6:30 p.m.  Players will be dismissed at 2:00 p.m.
       
4.  Below is a list of local and state scholarships along with the due date or deadline:
-Knights of Columbus Scholarship  - April 16th
-Lenabelle Collins Higher Education Scholarship  - April 16th
-Spirit of Kelly Plugge Scholarship  - April 16th
-Jerry Pfeifer Memorial Scholarship  - April 17th (pick up in Mrs. Wieser’s room)
-Local 1005 Norfolk Fire Division Scholarship  - April 20th to Mrs. Wieser (before leaving for Easter break)
-Soccer Scholarship  - April 23rd
-Norfolk Morning Optimist Club Scholarship  - April 24th (will be available during Theology class on April 10th)
-Norfolk Catholic Music Boosters Scholarship  - April 24th
-Carol Gall Memorial Scholarship sponsored by Noon Optimist Club  - April 26th
-Lower Elkhorn Natural Resources District  - April 26th

5.  There will be a National Honor Society meeting on Tuesday, April 23rd from 11:50 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.  Meet in the guidance office.

6.  There will be a high school student advisory meeting on Tuesday, April 16th at 11:50 a.m.  There will be a Jr. High student advisory meeting on Tuesday, April 23rd at 10:57 a.m.

7.  The following students must turn their play scripts into the office by the end of the day today:  Eli Pfeifer, Janie Keller, Alex Prim, Ben Bugenhagen, Marlee Weidner, Hayden Wolf, Carly Thramer, Kellen Carney.  Scripts need to be sent back to the company right away!!

8.  Hope Brummer, Hanna Brummer & Kellen Carney need to turn their $30.00 costume money into the office by the end of the day today!!

9.  Driver’s Ed. will start tonight at 6:00 in the cafeteria.  Reminder that the balance due for the class needs to be paid to Mr. Bellar tonight.

10. Freshmen girls can stop in the office to pick up an application for the P.E.O. Leadership Award.  Forms must be returned to the office by Wednesday, April 17th.

11. We will be having a Mission Jeans Day this Wednesday.  The money collected will be going towards the Goodman Scholarship Fund in memory of Scott Goodman, a graduate of Norfolk Catholic who lost his life in the March flooding.  Students and staff may wear jeans on Wednesday if you bring at least $1.00.

12. Senior Dinner will take place on Monday, April 22nd in the parish center beginning at 6:30 p.m.

13. Knights for Life is collecting donations for Project Rachel, a healing ministry for post-abortive women.  The donations will be presented to Archbishop Lucas on Wednesday, April 24th in Omaha. Knights for Life members are asked to donate $20.00 and we welcome all other members of the Norfolk Catholic community to donate as well.  Please bring your money to Mrs. Headley by this Wednesday, April 17th. Checks can be made out to Knights for Life.

14. Any students, ages 12 or older, that are interested in detasseling this summer should see Ms. Freese sometime today.

15. There will be NO confessions today.
