“You are the light of the world. A city set on a mountain cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and then put it under a bushel basket; it is set on a lampstand, where it gives light in the house (Matt 5:14-15).”
This Lampstand initiative will continue to develop through small groups working with our priests and lay leaders to achieve the following ends:
- To learn (on the cognitive level) the types of prayer and to practice these types of prayer in order to (Encounter Jesus)
- To deepen in the affective growth of the participants with respect to the life of prayer, and subsequently, the life of faith (Encounter Jesus/Equip Disciples)
- To brainstorm strategies as a group on how to share these methods of prayer with others and utilize effectively in specific settings (Equip Disciples)
