This is also another very important ministry at our parish. To be a Lector an individual must take a class offered through the Archdiocese, and also attend a mandation ceremony, which is similar to the process in becoming a Eucharistic Minister of Holy Communion. Lectors read the 1st and 2nd readings, the Responsorial psalm, and the general intercessions if the Deacon is not available.
